Susan Ferguson receives 2019-2020 Inspiration Grant from ArtsKC Regional Arts Council

The ArtsKC Regional Arts Council in December awarded me a 2019-2020 Inspiration Grant for my work creating the "Inside Out" solo exhibit that was held at William Jewell College in the fall of 2019. Here is the announcement on the website:

Susan FergusonInside Out – A solo exhibit of woven wall hangings        Susan Ferguson of Independence, MO, is a weaver and fiber artist. Her most recent collection of woven wall hangings is featured in a solo exhibit titled “Inside Out” taking place Sept. 1-Oct. 30, 2019, at the Ruth E. Stocksdale Gallery at William Jewell College, Liberty, MO. Ferguson creates her works on rigid heddle looms, where she prefers to weave using her fingers instead of shuttles. She uses traditional yarns as well as deconstructed clothing and other non-traditional materials to weave abstract works.
