All new work will be shown at "Liminal Spaces" exhibit March 3-April 14, 2023 at Habitat Contemporary Gallery

At least a dozen new works of mine will be on display at Habitat Contemporary Gallery (2012 Baltimore, inside the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center) in Kansas City, MO, from March 3-April 14, 2023. The exhibit will open March 3 (First Friday) with an opening reception from 5-8 p.m.

Pieces in the exhibit, "Liminal Spaces: Stepping Off the Edge," explore the concepts of liminality and transition. We live in a world that is constantly inviting and encouraging us to move away from our safe center toward the unfamiliar and more unsettling edges of our experiences, imagination and beliefs. To do so, we must develop a finer appreciation for the art of risk-taking.

Media include weaving, fiber and textile work, encaustic painting, Raku pottery, and assemblage.
