Breast Cancer Me

If it makes its way through the FedEx gauntlet, my weaving Breast Cancer Me will be on exhibit at Union Street Gallery in Chicago Heights, Ill., from Oct. 12-Nov. 4. It is part of the fiber arts exhibit "Healing/Nobility/Community," an exhibit that focuses on people's hopes, inspirations and energies for the sustenance and transformation of society. The gallery is open Thursdays and Fridays 12-4 and Saturdays from 11 am-4. 

Breast Cancer Me was woven in 2018 as part of a self-directed healing art therapy project after I underwent a double mastectomy and much too much chemo treatment in 2017. Eight pieces of art comprised the Bra Therapy Project.
