"Clear Day" and "Breast Cancer Portrait" selected for "Start the Conversation" exhibit in Kansas City, KS, starting May 19

"Clear Day," a 7-foot-wide weaving made from yarns, deconstructed clothing and polypropylene rope, is one of two of my artworks that have been selected to be part of the Start the Conversation exhibit sponsored by the Wyandot Behavioral Health Network. The exhibit opens May 19 and runs through June 2. "Clear Day" is 83" wide by 39" high.

The exhibit will take place at McEnery Automation, 607 Tauromee Ave., Kansas City, KS. An opening reception is planned for May 19 from 5-9 p.m.

Also selected for the exhibit is "Breast Cancer Portrait," a weaving that includes materials received while I underwent treatment for breast cancer in 2017. "Breast Cancer Portrait" is an abstract interpretation of my physical and emotional state during treatment. It is 79" long by 29" wide.
